An explanation of the event:
We think of the boards we build as an emblem of “re-evolution”. To us, that’s the act of reaching back into the legacy of surfboard design, finding an inspiration, and applying new thinking or new materials to jump over the intervening years, decades or millennia to create something surfers can love today.Because we’re not alone in revering re-evolution, Grain will again invite some very special friends to help us with our third annual celebration of this idea. It’ll be a party and think-fest to remember, split between the beach – for board demos and sunshine – and the shop – for sharing music, art, films, food, drink, and thoughts about surfboard design and construction. You just gotta be there.
Attached is a poster you can share. We're excited to have Jon Wegener, Ed from Enjoy Handplanes here for the event, Pierce and Petra from Misfit Productions showing their new film, What the Sea Gives Me. We'll have lots of hands on activities and demonstrations, local food, beer from our friends at Dogfish Head Craft Brew, and more.
