This great looking board is 72 years young Gary Parks first wooden board.
He was one of the original Burleigh Longboard Club Members.
He has just finished his first timber longboard and has been playing around with it over the last 2 years, the skeleton and stringer are western red cedar finished with old red cedar and balsa 0.6 veneer and 4 oz glass. It weighs 2/3 kilos more than his everyday longboards.
Gordon Knight from Sam Parson's shop glassed it for him.
He would like to bring it to Currumbin for the display day but other family commitments are occurring that weekend.
